Rollerskating!
I feel like I have been rollerskating for ages but reality is I have only been doing less than a year. So how did I start rollerskating? Honestly, I think it all started during the pandemic when I wanted to find a physical activity where I romanticized and take anywhere. I have always loved going to the roller skating rink but it was costly and far from where I lived. So when the pandemic hit, and I was seeing an abundance of rollerskating content on my Instagram Reel and Tiktok it was a signal for me to also get on it. On top of that, a rollerskating company was also doing a big sale and skates were going for 40% off.
I saw that as the ultimate catalyst to invest in this aspiring hobby of mine. It started with learning how to balance in my garage and then slowly incorporating tricks. Summer came to a wrap and I decided with a new chapter of entering college in SoCal, let’s bring the roller skates to USC.
This was perhaps one of the best luggage items I brought, I had some much fun cruising around campus and even found a community of fellow roller skater to skate with!
P.S. Literally so much fun trying to live my explore ig reel life. i love getting to romanticizing my life & the community surround it are always super positive people
Tidepooling
It's not too often when I get to go tidepooling but when I do I absolutely love the feeling of exploring the underwater ecosystems that only gets exposed during low tides. It brings out the inner curiosity I have and it’s so fun exploring these pockets of water and seeing what organisms you might find.
My favorite tide pool finds are nudibranch!
